ISO 12647 Colour Reproduction

ISO 12647 Colour Reproduction

ISO 12647 aims to ensure parameters, targets and measurement are set and verified for every part of the printing process. Solid colour measurement readings are now used to replace the more traditional density weights previously used on press ink measurement. The reason for this change is to cope with the wide range of inks available, which all have different properties. It also covers technical properties of the printing process such as screening method, dot gain and overprints.

Measuring and recording results throughout the print run prove consistency so the print matches your proofs. Using a spectrophotometer removes individual opinion and assumptions from quality control. It improves customer satisfaction and removes any subjectivity. Our press is calibrated to achieve the ISO 12647 standard automatically. The press checks every sheet as it passes through and corrects itself automatically.
